From Saving Goals to Saving Communities

Brian Baloyi who is arguably one of South Africa's greatest ever goalkeepers, made 463 professional appearances for both Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns as well as a further 24 for Bafana Bafana (The National Soccer Team) has joined the Lavendus Water journey towards Rural Community Development.

Brian has notably played a formidable role in charity drives and community development projects since his retirement from professional football via the Brian Baloyi Family Foundation. Brian found synergy between the work carried out by the Brian Baloyi Family Foundation and the ideals and actions of Lavendus Water.

Brian, has the following to say regarding the partnership between the Brian Baloyi Family Foundation and Lavendus Water “It is very rare to come across a company which has Community Development woven into its DNA from the onset. The work that is being carried out by Lavendus Water is transparent and open to all volunteers that want to make a difference in our continent’s future. They have managed to produce a world class product that has the pride of all Africans encapsulated into a bottle.”

Lavendus Water will be launching Brian’s own brand of Traditional Natural Alkaline Water soon. Proceeds from the sales of Brian’s brand will be going to assist projects that the Brian Baloyi Family Foundation will be involved in across South Africa.

Lavendus Water CEO Moeketsi Matube has honoured the vision and commitment of the Brian Baloyi Family Foundation to South Africa and to our rural communities in particular by saying “ Brian is one of the greatest patriots I have had the pleasure of meeting. He is a modest and humble guy that wants the best for the South African people and Lavendus Water is with him on this journey 1000%!”

Brian Baloyi’s brand will be known as “Rabobi” to honour the South African version of the Spiderman cartoon that adorned television screens in the 1980’s and a show he himself regularly watched growing up.

Lavendus Water looks forward to joining hands with the Brian Baloyi Family Foundation in their shared quest to make a difference in our nations lives.
